London Marathon for Fibromyalgia Action Uk

Do you want to join me in making a difference? I'm raising money in aid of Fibromyalgia Action UK and every donation will help. From as little to as much as you would like to donate it all counts.

Most will know that I have this condition myself and that it does cause me some issues, it’s random and although I look fine, I can be extremely tired and in pain but you learn to live with it and accept that this is lifelong and dose up on pain relief when necessary. This shouldn’t be the case.
The cause is unknown, it’s said it’s possibly down to a trauma or illness, but not knowing makes it difficult to treat. How the illness manifests itself is different in everyone.

I am lucky to know ways to help me deal with it and have the resources for this but there are others who aren’t and are completely debilitated by it with no relief and feel they have no way out.

I don’t see myself as a sufferer, I am a warrior and will try to keep it under control as much as possible, which isn’t easy but shouldn't have to think about how I’m going to feel each day before deciding what I can do.

Although I have Fibromyalgia, I am determined to succeed in crossing that finish line in London on 21st April 2024 even if it takes me all day.

If anyone wants to join me by running with a charity place or if you have your balloted place, feel free. Even the virtual London Marathon in support of Fibromyalgia would be just as good. I would be more than happy for the company and supporting each other along the way.

I am looking to raise at least £500 for Fibromyalgia, this will go into research and awareness of this hidden condition.
Please help me.

Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me. More information about Fibromyalgia Action UK: Fibromyalgia Action UK is a registered charity run primarily by unpaid volunteers. The majority of volunteers are also fibromyalgia sufferers who work extremely hard, despite their condition, in order to forward the cause of fibromyalgia. FMA UK was established in order to provide information and support to sufferers and their families. In addition, the Association provides medical information for professionals and operates a national helpline.
