London to Kathmandu in 100 days
Spende geschützt
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page! In July this year I will be cycling from London to Kathmandu in 100 days. I'll be going to Kathmandu to volunteer as a researcher for Street Child UK, a charity who aims to create educational opportunities for the world's most vulnerable children.
I’ll be travelling approx. 10,000km (an average of 100km per day) for over 3 months through 16 countries and facing terrain ranging from the Austrian mountains, the Danube cycle path, deserts of Uzbekistan, Tajikistan mountain passes, New Delhi chaos, the Taj Mahal with monstrous climbs, sweltering heat, snowy mountain tops and any other challenges my solo 10,000km will throw at me.
I will use boat rides across the Black Sea and Caspian Sea to connect up the sections of my proposed route and flying from Dushanbe in Tajikistan to New Delhi in order to avoid Pakistan, Afghanistan and Northern India. My intention is to be fully self-sufficient; wild camping wherever possible and buying supplies as I go.
For anyone interested in following my journey you can follow my Instagram page @bikepackingbex which I will update daily with photos and anecdotes of life on the road.
Here is my proposed route: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/26854142
