Lori Knapp's legal support campaign

Hello, my name is Blair Knapp and I am writing this go fund me on behalf of my amazing mother. I am looking to raise money for her. She is in severe need of help and support with a legal matter. As a family, my mother, brother, and I have been dealing with an alcoholic father. 2 years ago in May, his disease finally got to the point where he was rushed to the hospital on his death bed due to his liver and other bodily functions that were failing. God willing he survived and we thought he would change his life. He was in the hospital for 29 days and we as a family were there everyday supporting him and helping him fight his disease. Unfortunaely, after these 29 sober days, our father no longer wanted to fight. We finally put our foot down and said its rehab or he could not come home. He chose to not come home as well as file from divorce from my mom. My mother for the past 33 years of our lives has been that amazing stay at home mother who held down the fort and did everything for our family. She also has supported any one else who has ever step foot in her life and she would do anything to help them. I am now turning to ask others to help her. My father took away all the money these past two years and because she was a stay at home mother, she currently only has a part time minimum wage job that can not fully support her in her daily life. She is doing her best to stay positive, but financially she is not doing well at all. My father was able to get a lawyer who was able to deny alimony to my mother as well as make her pay my father's lawyer fees. She needs to live a steady life after being screwed over in a nasty divorce. My mother now has to pay for an appelate appeals attorney which is more money so she can get what is rightfully deserved to her. My mom stood by and never gave up for her children and always gave us everything. I have helped as much as I can and now I am asking others who either can help support her financially, help her with finding a new place to live that allows 3 lab dogs, or just help her with advice with her case that is greatly appreciated. The money will be used to help pay for her appelate lawyer. This means so much to me because anyone that knows my mom knows how kind and hard working she is and she does not deserve what she is going through right now. If she can just finally after these two years get just alittle help, it will help her start a fresh life that she deserves and get her feet back on the ground.
