Love for Graeme and Jasmine

Donation protected
Graeme Seabrook and Jasmine Banks have been an integral part of an organization (both as volunteers and paid employees) meant to help moms and families with prenatal and postpartum mood disorders. They have shared many stories of their own struggles, not only with maternal mental health, but also being Women of Color and fighting daily against ignorance, agression, fear and trauma.

Because of a very recent incident of insensitvity and agression through social media by the leader of this organization, neither of these strong women feel that they can be part of the group any longer. This is a very painful issue, not only because of what was said despite Graeme and Jasmine's tireless and courageous sharing of the permanence of white privelege and how it affects many, many lives, but also because they have also lost the community of mamas who supported them and was supported by them through the throes of mental illness.

In addition, there are financial consequences, as they are leaving positions that provided their families with bread and butter. This is especially true for Jasmine, for whom this was her main job and who is the main breadwinner in her family.

To help them transition to the next steps in their lives, professionally and spiritually, many of us have resources we can share to help them cross this bridge, and show them that they are still supported, both with our love and also with our financial assets. Any donation, no matter how big or small, will make a difference for them.

Thank you for reading this and I hope that you will join me in getting them some support as soon as possible!
