We have some very sad news to share. Michael Pelias, former Waldorf School of New Orleans Board Member, parent to Circe, Zeno, and Alessandro, and husband to Erin, passed away on Sunday, June 25.

Michael Harry Pelias born September 26, 1961, A gentle, poetic, thinker, reader, writer, and songwriter. Descendant of Poseidon, aesthetic, deep and soulful, an exceptional friend, with a great real and extended family, he walked with children. The only son, born on his father's birthday, introspective and sometimes fiery. A New Orleanian. He saw beauty, and could not live without it. He loved his children and his family and friends. He lives in the hearts of so many, especially, his wife, Erin Reho Pelias, his children, Circe, Harry Zeno, and Alessandro, his mother, Magda Pelias, late father, Harry Pelias, and sisters Natalia Pelias Gonzalez, Anastasia Pelias, Georgia Pelias Wadman, nieces, nephews, cousins, and so many other dear friends and family. Departed June 25, 2017. Visitation: Schoen Funeral Home 3827 Canal Street New Orleans Sunday, July 2, 2017, 6pm-9pm. Funeral Services: Holy Trinity Cathedral, 1200 Robert E Lee Blvd, New Orleans Monday, July 3, 2017, 11 am.
