Hi friends and family! Most of you may have heard about Tim’s brush with some serious health issues recently. As of the date of this writing (Jan 9, 2018), Tim is in ICU fighting for his life. During the Christmas, 2017 holiday, a case of the sniffles turned into a bout of the flu, we have all attempted to dodge this winter season. As days progressed, Tim became weak and deathly ill with double pneumonia, to compound his flu diagnosis.
Once admitted into Magnolia Regional Health Center in Corinth, MS, it was found that Tim was dying, with a white blood cell count of 90,000+ (normal healthy person is 5,000-10,000). The following unbelievable turn of events, once in the hospital, finds Tim with an undiagnosed case of LEUKEMIA! As soon as Tim is strong enough to be moved, he will probably transfer to a hospital in Memphis for the appropriate treatment. He is currently under a chemically induced coma, and the medical staff at Magnolia are doing a SUPREME job! Tim’s white blood cell count is falling slowly, but he must continue to fight for his life!
Tim’s son Scott, left his job in Florida, and hasn’t left his side. Scott, never asking for anything, is enduring some costs that would find all of us ‘off-guard’. Eating every meal in the hospital cafeteria or subway, while hurrying back to the ICU, is expensive and taxing.
After care is coming. The day of discharge could be weeks away, and Scott can’t return to Florida and leave his best friend. Scott will be moving back to Mississippi, as quickly as he can safely leave his father’s side, to move his belongings.
Tim is one fantastic father, person, and a friend to all.
