Help Save Decks In The Park

We are nearly folks!  We need your help to get us over the finish line. Please find a way to donate even a $1 if you can. We are just over $2500 short from our goal to get this months Decks funded. Please help us support the community and find a way to share this and donate what you can. A Brief History of Decks In the Park 

Decks in the Park is the city's premier monthly electronic music event that is FREE and fun for all to enjoy in the community. We are one of the largest of our  kind in the country and now draws 4000-5000+ people per event. Our team is made up od DJs, business people and just generally good hearted people who volunteer their time to make Dallas a more enjoyable place to live.  

For those of you who are new to Decks... think of a music festival like Coachella, then subtract 195K people, condense it into 4 hrs. and imagine it free and fun for all ages to enjoy on a regular basis. Not only that, we give Big Brothers Big Sisters and Music Weapon who are great local charities a voice at our events and also donates 10% of our net profits to them.

 -What Decks Needs to Continue-
 
Decks is now going on its 4th year and only happen if we get the generous support of our fans to donate and our sponsors partners to help fund the event. That being said, we can’t do this without you. This event production costs alone to put  Decks on for one event is $15,000. We do get some occasional funding from official sponsors but that doesn't cover the entire costs. That being said, we are only asking for a portion of the costs listed below for now.

The great news is that if we have 4,000 people attend who donate $3 per person that will be $12,000 per event which will allow us to continue to have this monthly event free. Every dollar helps!  
 
BEATS: Decks is committed to serving the community with best beats from a wide variety of music genres from the classic funk, soul, and hip hop to all genres of electronic music ranging from house, Trapp & Bass and Indie Dance plus other World music genres like Reggae and Samba to name a few.

 PARK: We want to inspire and promote the use of our cities amazing public spaces like Klyde Warren Park where we host Decks. Finally the most important…

LIFE: Its our goal to connect people through music, enhance the culture and quality of life in our community and help inspire one another to actively get involved in making a difference in the community by serving others in enjoyable ways like becoming a child mentor or donor with Big Brothers Big Sisters or giving of your time and resources to serve the less fortunate in fun musical way like Music is Our Weapon. Decks donates 10% of its net profits to our community charities of choice.
What Does it Cost to Make Decks a Reality?
 
Donated funds will go to cover our costs which include park rental fees,professional quality sound, lighting and video, marketing, promotion costs and event insurance. Other costs include design work, web site, rental fees for stage production, banking fees, legal fees to operate the business, merchandise and production staff.

Decks gives the community a free and unique outlet to experience music in an amazing public space that’s fun for the whole family and it brings the community together in a very special way.

Decks is not something we get paid to do but Team Decks do out of love for music and the community. We truly feel that we are creating memories and experiences that will be with friends and families for years and years to come. This event has become uniquely Dallas and we hope Dallas decides to take action and donate so we can all makes this a musical legacy to last for years to come in the city!
