HELP LOLAMOONS SPINAL SURGERY

Lolamoon stole my heart the minute I met her. I adore her more than anything else in this world, she is my partner in crime and continuously fills my heart and others with joy, playfulness and tons of kisses.

After a low key weekend, Monday morning I woke up and found Lolamoon abnormally lying in her dog bed, breathing unusually loud along with panting and shaking heavily. I Instinctively took her to the vet but nothing could be determined at that time. To make her more comfortable the vet gave her an IV hydration as well as an oral pain medication. She was supposed to show improvement later that night but she still was lethargic, depressed and uncomfortable.
On Tuesday she was in the same condition if not worse, her shaking and panting became more regular, her back legs had become wobbly and she was very violent toward me when I touched her.
We headed back to the vet and they determined that she had a possible spinal injury and if not addressed properly could lead to paralysis and was in her best interest to be rushed to an Emergency Neuroscience Specialist for a MRI.
That night we headed to the emergency room and the doctor performed a consultation to determine the proper prognosis and found neurological damage that needed to be further looked at via MRI. Early Wednesday morning I dropped Lolamoon off and by late afternoon she was diagnosed with Hemivertebra, displacement of her L4 and L5 disc which was compressing her spine. She also was at risk of active bleeding. She was put right into surgery where they discovered she had a hematoma (blood clot) compressing her spinal cord along with displaced disc.
Thursday she was still very sedated but the surgical procedure was successful. Unfortunately I wasn’t aloud to see her due to the extensive surgery, visiting privileges weren’t until 24 hours after and hospital care until Monday. On Friday I received a call from the Dr. who informed me Lolamoon was recovering well but wasn't eating and being very aggressive toward the staff due to discomfort from being in a kennel. The Dr. decided it would be best for Lolamoon to be discharged that day and be home under my care.
To say the least it was a very emotional and stressful week but I am extremely thankful for the support from my friends and family and ABOVE everything to have my baby home. Lolamoon is only 4 years old and I didnt expect such a fit and agile puppy like Lola to have such invasive spine injury so early in her life. She has no traumatic story of how she hurt herself, the doctor said it could have been just one wrong jump off the bed Monday morning. With that said I was nowhere prepared for the numerous doctor bills. Anything at this point would help... $5 - ??would make a world of difference, as the whole procedure cost $8,000 plus. She is currently home now on bed rest for the next 3 weeks, she is still having a hard time eating and in pain.
Please send good vibes and love to my precious baby as she continues to heal from this shocking and unfortunate situation. #loveforlolamoon #goodvibesforlolamoon #lifeoflolamoon
