Donating Books To Disabled Kids

Donation protected
Hi, I'm Sarah.

I love to tell stories, and you're here to contribute to my story, so I might as well tell it.

When I was born, I had a couple of complications. I was a premie, and was rushed to Primary Children's Hospital. I stayed in the NICU for a couple weeks before I was finally able to come home.

As I grew, it became clear that I was different from other children. I didn't start walking until much later than I should've, and when I did walk, it was odd and awkward.

Finally, when I was three years old, we figured out the root of my problems: I had cerebral palsy, a disability that affects over 500,000 adults and children in the United States.

Over the years, I have visited hospitals for many reasons: check-ups, surgeries, doctors appointments, and leg brace fittings. It has taken the patience, time, and kindness of many doctors and therapists to help me reach the point I'm at today.

That brings us to now, to this charity that you've graciously agreed to help contribute.

When you donate to Love Unconditional, you are donating to kids like me, who have gone to hospitals for all of their lives. You're helping kids with physical and intellectual disabilities, with chronic illnesses, and kids who struggle with their health, who don't know what it feels like to be normal.

The best part about you donating here, through GoFundMe, is that you are not only donating money to these kids, but also directly to our Inspire Creativity program. Through this program, with every $10 donated, Love Unconditional will give a personalized copy of The Rose Garden  by Sarah Calvert to one of these incredible kids.

Kindness is not spread through extravagant and expensive  donations by celebrities, although these acts are inspiring and do help . Kindness is, simply, best spread through small acts of unconditional love for other human beings. To quote The Rose Garden:

"Sometimes people become so accustomed to the indifference of others that they forget what it means to be good. All it takes is one act of kindness to show others that they can be kind as well. "

From the bottom of my heart, I thank you profusely for supporting my project and my dream to help better the world.

You can further support Love Unconditional by:

Best wishes,
Sarah Calvert
