RUNNING THE LONDON MARATHON FOR CLDF
Donation protected
Hi people,So in April 2019, I will be taking part in my first EVER Marathon!I have wanted to run this for years, but never got lucky to get through all the applicants! FINALLY I have a place! Slightly nervous but sooooo EXCITED!I am running for my charity CHILDREN’S LIVER DISEASE FOUNDATION. I am one of 18 in their charity team!I am ever so grateful to be selected to run for them as many people who know me, the charity lays very close to my heart!I won’t bore you too much, but as a baby I was born with Liver Disease.I spent a lot of my life back and forth, and in and out of hospitals, (mostly Kings College Hospital) weirdly I always saw majority of these trips fun, as my parents always used to make it rewarding by treating me to fancy yummy meals afterwards with pizza and ice cream and feeding squirrels hobnobs on the way to the hospital through the park nearby. I always loved all the staff in the hospitals and have many good memories with the nurses, doctors, children entertainers and my family and grand parents who must of been under so much stress, whilst I happily got a lot of attention and just sat there eating sweets and watching films.I was one of the lucky ones.... I got discharged when I was 16. I am a very happy and fit 32year old now and I feel very blessed to have the opportunity to live my life freely with very little restrictions. I really want to take this opportunity and help give back to CLDF (Children’s Liver Disease Foundation) so they can go on and continue building awareness and supporting the children and their families who need it.I love a challenge and I do rather enjoy running, which is a bonus, but I guess I may not after all the training...I would greatly appreciate it if you could all kindly help me raise the money to support both myself, my family, and everyone who’s part of CLDF.Every amount counts!!!Much Love& Thank you!!!
