******UPDATED
This fund is now closed. I am hoping the money will be transferred to the family over the weekend. The Family Liaison Officer is due to pass on the relevant bank account details in a few days.
Thanks for you support.

Glenn

*****UPDATED
As a community, we have come together to show our support and I thank you for your generosity. The money you donate will give the family of Makayah and Rosie breathing space and I am sure your messages of condolence will be comforting during this unimaginably hard time.

Please continue to donate what you can, please share this page and lets see if together we can increase the total, before the fund is closed on Saturday.

Thank you again for your support.

Glenn

PS. I have spoken again to our local Councillor and she will update the Police Liaison Officer assigned to the family. Together, they will advise on the best way for the money to be received into the family account.

****UPDATED
Was just given £30 by one of the traders on the High Street. Have transferred it into the fund. There is so much sadness amoung the community. I really can't thank you enough for coming together and supporting the family.

***UPDATED.
I never met Rosie or Makayah. On the news, he was called "a bright star with a bright future". Rosie has been described as "one of the kindest, most beautiful, caring people you would ever meet".

I find it impossible to read those comments without crying. Rosie was 34. Makayah was 10.

Please share this message and help support the family by donating what you can. I created this fund so they would know that they are not alone ... and that we are here to support them and help them in whatever way we can.

Once the family liaison officer has consulted with those affected, the money raised will be given to Councillor Kathy Bance. She will ensure it reaches the family.

I am so proud of what we have achieved so far (an incredible £5000) and I think we can raise even more.

Thank you for your continued support.

Glenn

**UPDATED.
It has been brought to my attention that comments have been made on other pages questioning who I am and how the money will be used and given to the family. Quite right too.

Let me say this. My commitment to this community is well known. I believe that those who know me, trust me. If you don't know me, all I can ask is that you have faith.

It has been less than 24hrs since two lives were taken in the most horrendous of ways. Three children were taken to hospital because of the incident, two aged 13 and one aged eight, who were related to the 10 year old boy and his aunt.

I will not be approaching the family until I feel it appropriate and certainly not until the details of all those affected have been released by the Metropolitan Police .

Once the campaign has closed, the money will be handed to our local Councillor. One of our local solicitors has also been notified.

If anyone knows those affected, please let them know the community is thinking of them and they are not alone.

Glenn

*UPDATED.
More details have emerged surrounding the incident in Penge earlier today. I don't have the vocabulary to describe how sad it is.

If you leave a message here for the families affected, I will pass it on ... at an appropriate time, along with the money our community has raised.

Thank you for your support so far.

I don't know their names. I don't know their backgrounds. I don't know how much care the survivors will need.

All I know is that the family/families will need as much support as possible.

Please help.
