Lual Deng Funeral and Burial
Lual Deng, our brother, our son, our friend, tragically and suddenly left us and this world.
Lual helped his mother Akech raise his 4 younger brothers since arriving in American nearly 9 years ago from a South Sudanese refugee camp in Kenya. Akech, Lual, Deng, Ajang, Majok, and Leek left behind their family and their way of life in search of opportunities for the 5 young boys. Akech has always told her boys to find their success and fortune and then to share it with the people back in their homeland.
Akech and her boys are well known and respected across the U.S. South Sudanese community and also well loved by the Tucson community. They have touched the hearts of many and now need our help as they grieve.
Although there is no cure for the pain of a mother who loses her child or for her sons who will grow into men without the guidance and protection of their beloved brother, paying tribute and laying Lual to rest will provide some comfort.
All money raised will go directly towards funeral services and burial. Any amount is greatly appreciated.
For those who do not know me, I am a close friend to Akech. I am helping herto raise the money and make the funeral arrangements. For the sake of transparency, GoFundMe wants you to know that I will withdrawal the funds you have donated to pay the expenses tothe funeral home and the Cemetary. If we raise more money than we need for the services, it will go to Akech to cover household expenses and the mortgage. Lual provided Love, guidance, protection and helped to financially support the household. His absence leaves many many voids in many lives.
Thnak you again.
