Lucy vs Cancer
Donation protected
Lucy McGeehan is 5 years old and has been recently diagnosed with Ewing Sarcoma, a rare form of bone and soft tissue cancer.
This was first discovered when part of Lucy's tumour started putting pressure on her spinal cord, taking away her ability to walk. After a successful surgery removing a portion of the tumour and releasing the pressure on her spine, she is currently undergoing chemotherapy in the long fight against the remaining cancer.
Lucy is one brave little girl and is doing all she can to fight whatever cancer throws at her; and she’s doing it all with a smile on her face. That’s why we want to show her and her family our love and support at this difficult time.
This fundraising campaign has been set up by friends of Lucy and the McGeehan family to support Lucy and her whole family as she undergoes treatment and battles against cancer. This fund will help to cover a portion of the many costs associated with her treatment for her family. This includes taking time off work to look after Lucy and the costs of travelling for further specialist treatment and potentially more surgery in the coming months.
Any support you can give will be greatly appreciated and your generosity will go a long way to helping Lucy and her family on her road to recovery. We will continue to update this page with more information about how Lucy is doing along the way. Thank-you. x
Updates:
- Lucy is now 6 years old! She celebrated her birthday with lots of cake.
- Lucy has now finished her chemo (14 rounds in total) as of the 1st of May - this is only the first part over for Lucy. Now it will be on to the next set of procedures and further treatment in fighting this cancer. Your continued support for Lucy and her family is greatly appreciated.
