Help Kathleen Pay for Service Dog Training

My name is Kathleen Traylor.
Some of you know my Service Dog, Zotia passed away April 29th at the age of 15.
This is Lyric! My new 1-1/2 year old dog. Look at those eyes! This is a little girl wanting to learn!
I need help to train Lyric as my new Service Dog. The wait time to purchase a trained Service Dog is 3-5 years. I need one now. I did not apply while Zotia was alive because I had no way of knowing how long she would live, and i did not want to take focus from her.
I am a co-founder and actress with PHAMALY Theatre Company. I worked at the University of Colorado Medical School for 20 years as a Program Assistant, until chronic pain forced me to take an early retirement.
Because of a birth defect called Amniotic Band Syndrome I've had approximately 27 surgical procedures, including the amputation of both of my legs.
In addition, I have a Harrington Fusion (a steel rod attached to my spine) and a malformed hip and pelvis, I am unable to reach things on the ground. Zotia began picking things up for me the day she met me. Then added getting clothes from the dryer and helping me dress to her repertoire. With no training! Lyric is going to require some tutelage.
Lyric loves to cuddle. She's so sweet! And wants to please. I've already taken her to a couple of restaurants that allow pets and she's a little lady! It's almost as though Zotia's Spirit is helping her. Several times she's acted on a command I've blurted out that I used to give Zotia!
I'm looking at a Service Dog Training facility in the area. The cost for 1-1/2 years training is $9,120. Lyric needs to fully recover from Anaplasmosis that she caught at the animal shelter before she can begin training. She should be recovered by the end of the month. So her first class is June 30, 2023! I'm really excited to begin working with her! We've worked on some basic commands here at home, and she learns quickly!
I truly believe Lyric is meant to be my next Service Dog. But she and I need help to make that happen. Can you help us? She'll even give you kisses!
