Lyubar Jewish Records Acquisition and Translation
Donation protected
Summer 2019
Thanks to your support, we have successfully acquired over 9,000 pages of digital scans for nine Novograd Volynsk District revision lists including supplements for 1816-1868, and which include records for 13 towns including Lyubar, Ostropol, Baranivka, Berezdiv, Horodnytsia, Korets, Krasnostav, Myropil, Nova Chortoryia, Novohrad-Volynskyi City, Polonne, Rohachiv, and Romaniv.
Thanks to volunteer Deborah Glassman, a finding aid identifying exactly which pages each town can be found on is live on Alex Krakovsky's website
https://uk.wikipedia.org/wiki/Єврейське_містечко#Новоград-Волинський_повіт
where the digitized images can be downloaded free.
Additionally, Deb is almost finished with Head of Household Surname Indexes for Lyubar and Ostropol which will be posted on the Lyubar KehilaLinks website at https://kehilalinks.jewishgen.org/Lyubar/ and on The Jewish Families of Ostropol website at https://jewishfamiliesofostropol.com/ .
I'm about to place a second order for the 1872-1874 Revision List and other materials identified in the Zhytomir Archives catalog. Funds will continue to be used for records acquisition and/or translations.
We still need your help for these acquisitions, volunteers to translate and index them, and town leaders for all towns except Lyubar and Ostropol. Thank you for your continued support!
