Diana's battle with Lung Cancer

Hey,

I'm Grant Goldman, and my mother - Diana Goldman - is sadly suffering from a malignant tumor in her left lung. She has suffered many setbacks in the past five years stemming from an abusive boyfriend. This caused her to lose her job, house, and car. Unfortunately, this coincided with her first diagnosis of throat cancer in 2011, which she ended up beating after a tumultuous nine-week fight.

She started to get back into the flow of everyday life after finally getting the ability to speak again, and almost secured a job until she started to experience immense fatigue. Fatigue was normal to her, but not extremely swollen feet. This brought her to the ER where the doctors diagnosed her with a collapsed lung. However, after very intensive testing the Doctors realized this wasn't a collapsed lung and rather a 3 mm tumor!

Diana has now gone through a brutal past three and a half months of on and off treatments consisting of five days of radiation and one of chemotherapy.  Three and a half months seems a tad long for radiation treatments, yet this is due to the fact she contracted pneumonia during the first month of treatments. She is currently living on the last of her pennies in a hotel room, and doesn't have a car to get her to her treatments. Shrinking her tumor through these treatments and then going through an intensive surgery removing the lung/tumor is the only thing keeping her optimistic.

I'd love to help my loving, caring, creative, and lively mother, but I'm finishing up school at Northeastern University in Boston, MA; and don't have enough money to consistently assist her.
