The Cause.
Malapascua Island, a popular diving island in the Philippines, was “leveled” by Typhoon Yolanda, also known as Typhoon Haiyan in Ocotber 2013.
“The island was leveled. The typhoon did not spare anyone; all houses lost, schools too."
Last year our friends, divers themselves, raised over £2500 for the children and click here to see what they did.
Moved by this we asked what we could do to help. Paul Andrews contact the Islanders and they told him they really need more classrooms for their school. There is currently 90 children to a class and they have to teach in shifts.
The total cost to build 3 classrooms is £81,000. This is a tall order but with our collective fundraising and your help we believe we can reach this.
We shall be doing the Nuclear, running marathons, holding coffee mornings just to start!
Thank you in advance for your kind donation. It means alot.
