Help Makayla

Hi, my name is Josie and I am the very proud aunt of Kristina and the VERY proud Great Auntie of Makayla.
Kristina has had her ups and downs and ended up in her mid 20s as a single mom with 3 little girls - Alexis, Makayla and Jenesis and living with her grandmother.
She scraped by and worked hard and about 2 years ago she met a wonderful man who not only made Kristina his wife but took on her girls as his own.
I can not tell you the relief I felt knowing that Kristina had her life together and that her and the girls were happy and had a real home now and a father figure.
Then about 3 weeks ago Makayla who is 10 years old devleoped a growth on her elbow...
She was sent 45 minutes away to Nemours Children Hospital in Orlando where she was admitted. This past Monday she was diagnosed with stage 3 Rhabdomyosarcoma http://www.cancer.gov/types/soft-tissue-sarcoma/patient/rhabdomyosarcoma-treatment-pdq#section/_1 an extremely rare cancer. Treatment is 6-12 months of intensive chemotherapy and radiation.
Kristina got FMLA at her job but has no personal days, no vacation time nothing... So as Makayla is about to embark on this extremely difficult journey to her recovery her mom has to go back to work as they can not survive with just her husband's income.
As a mom, this is not acceptable to me. I am doing everything I can to help her from the West Coast. Last night she texted me:
I have started this fundraiser to give Kristina the ability to stay with Makayla at the hospital and then transition (hopefully) home in a couple of months to continue her treatment and not be worried about anything else. I know Makayla needs her mommy right now and she's going to need her more than she knows in the upcoming weeks as the chemo weakens her and the cancer continues to ravage her frail body.
The money raised will go directly to replacing Kristina's current take home monthly salary and pay for the next few weeks of camp for her other 2 daughters - her and her husband work different hours so that one of them would be there to care for them during the summer as camp was not an expense they could consider. This money will also be used to help cover the extra gas for her husband and girls to come visit on weekends.
I totally know that there are so many valuable causes to contribute to but if you could give anything even just the price of your starbucks today it REALLY does help.
Thank you from the very bottom of my heavy heart,
Josie
