SEE IMAGES AND ABOUT THIS PROJECT HERE.

My name is Fred Martins, I am a visual artist who uses his art to make political statements. Bringing attention to critical issues relating to people, animals and nature.

I created an art project 'Orange, Black And Freedom' which was to celebrate the righteous African activists who were jailed for fighting to resurrect the African consciousness. The art project featured especially Fela and five others including Nelson Mandela, Martin Luther King Jnr., Marcus Garvey, Patrick Lumumba, Ruby Dee. The projects has been very well received - Globally. And as well been published in French, English, Portuguese, Spanish, Russian and Danish medias. It has attracted media outlets like Huffington Post, BuzzFeed, The Guardian, OkayAfrica, DesignIndaba, CNN, Baltimore Times, Vibe Magazine and many others to interview and feature the works, in celebration of these Legends.

I am currently working on the Chapter 2 of this project 'Orange, Black And Freedom'. To make idea come alive, I decided to produce the 3D live sculptures of these combs which will serve as office/home wall decors, for galleries and museums and also smaller handy versions for fashion purposes. The will not only beautify walls but also teach children that may wonder - African history.

I appeal for your support to reach this goal. I will be very thankful and will appreciate every support kindly in return.
