Malawi youth soccer team

Lyzee United Football (Soccer) Club started in the backyard of Luke and Becca Voight in Blantyre, Malawi in 2011. The Voights had a vision of reaching out to the youth of Chilomoni township. In the Voight's big backyard, Lyzee United FC started and the boys came...and came...and came!
Before they knew it, over 100 young boys filled their backyard 5 days each week. We all became family and the rest is history. Today, the team is well known and many of the boys are now top youth soccer talent in the country. But the need for transportation to matches and soccer gear is huge. Now, Lyzee United FC is in the elite youth league in Malawi with many players who are growing into wonderful young men. This local team has always had committed Malawian coaches who love the boys of the team and pour their lives into them. The coaches have never been paid and always sacrifice their time & money to see the team grow in skill and love for one another.
The funds will be used for school fees for a few of the boys (Harry & Jamali) who are currently not going to school because of lack of funds. Nearly all of these kids are living on less than a dollar a day. If we could raise the money by the end of July 2017, then we'd be able to support the team & send the boys to school for the next 2 years. Dennis (Luke) Voight & Coach Mphatso are doing a fantastic job already in setting the boys up for school next year because of the immense generousity of many towards this campaign over the past month.
If fully funded, this would open up the door to start a sustainable small business that will empower the boys to work hard after school 2 days per week to support their team for years to come. This would transform their lives forever and be the startup the team needs!
