Kern and Hazel's Village
Donation protected
On April 9, 2019 our community lost a good friend. Malcolm Francis MacKinnon unexpectedly passed at the young age of 37. He was loved by his wife Kristine and two young children, Kern and Hazel, along with his family and friends.
Malcolm had a debilitating illness called Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD). He struggled with every symptom and fought hard to get better by accessing the resources and services available in our health care system.
Malcolm will always be remembered for his gentle demeanor, his witty sense of humour and his never-ending kindness. He loved his wife and his children dearly and wanted only the best for them. This family has lost so much, Hazel's comfort, Kern's playmate, Kristine's best friend. Malcolm’s family have a long road ahead and their community of friends would like to do what they can to assist at this very difficult time, which unfortunately brings with it a great deal of stress and financial burdens.
We are thankful for any support you can provide. Funds donated will go towards carrying on what Malcolm would have wanted for Kern and Hazel; opportunities for their future education.
It truly takes a village and we want to ensure Kristine knows we are here for her and her family.
