Manzanita Seed Elementary - Recovery from Break-in
Tax deductible
Want to help us in making a difference after Manzanita SEED Elementary School was vandalized over Oakland's Spring Break? Our school was already struggling to make ends meet as a Title I school. We're raising money now to help our school and after school program recover, and any donation will help make an impact. We need to clean up and restore our paint damaged and debris covered campus. Also, art supplies, playground equipment, board games and computers that were damaged, destroyed, and stolen during the break-in. Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to our children.

**As we near our goal, any additional funds will be used to support technology and beautification at our school to show our students that not only is vandalism is not okay, but that we support them and they deserve more! (We really need even basics like headphones for our computers for grades 3-5 for their state CAASP testing.)
Manzanita SEED is a dual immersion Spanish, TK-5 public elementary school in Oakland Unified School District. The school serves a diverse population (66% of students qualify for the free and reduced price lunch program and 47% are English Language Learners). Funds are donated to: Los Amigos de Manzanita SEED (a 501(c)3 organization) and will be distributed to Manzanita SEED and the after school program run by EBAYC.
This gofundme fundraiser has been launched by the Manzanita SEED fundraising committee, which is made up of parent volunteers (including Jennifer Afdahl Rice, listed as the creator of this page).
