Hello! My name is Kayla Lloyd, I am a marathon runner, triathlete, and currently training to compete in the NPC Bikini Competitor circuit. With the goal of racing in both the Boston Marathon, New York Marathon, and completing the Arizona Ironman in 2016 I am looking for partners in helping me to fullfill this journey, which can be followed at WhereYourFeetTakeYou blogger.
In order to chase these dreams a lot of sacrifice and dedication has been put on the line for both myself and my fiance. Between putting in long hours of training, both at and away from the gym, racing on a monthly basis, maintaining a strong and healthy nutrition plan, and putting a social life on hold a lot of expenses have begun build up.
Any funds raised would be used to support training, with the hopes of being able to get a coach, gym memberships, gear, nutrition, supplements, travel, and entry fees.
As the journey of chasing my dreams to race in these high end iconic races is one that will take me well into 2016 my first fundraising goal is set at 2,000 USD, with the most important part being that 1/2 of all money raised will be donated to the JDRF in support of Type I diabetes research and my amazing fiance who just celebrated 15 years of living a fit and healthy life with Type I diabetes. Being the only global organization with a strategic plan to bring those that are living with Type I diabetes a continuous flow of life changing therapies to improve their quality of life they are also progressively striving towards finding a way to irradicate Type I diabetes.
The dedication, drive, and passion that my fiance has for living a fit and healthy life is my number one motivator for everything that I do. There is never a day that he doesn't strive to constantly improve himself and help others to learn how to live a fit and healthy life while living with Type I diabetes. It is his support and constant belief in me that has kept me going throughout my journey and what pushes me to strive for my dreams.
Thank you for helping to fullfill my two passions of competing at a high performce level in iconic races and providing love and support to the JDRF, a foundation that is near and dear to my heart.
