Marbella Verde Recycling needs a truck

We are a group of women who have rallied to protect the environment and ensure that the younger generations are ready to continue and better the conservation and development conundrum our area faces in a sustainable and innovative way. In order to protect our environment and curb our wasteful habits, we have created a small non profit organization which focuses on three pillars: Reduction and Recycling of waste (including Beach Clean ups); Environmental and Sustainable Development Education and Reforestation and Conservation of Ecosystems. Along with volunteers from different fields we hope to create a holistic conservation strategy that will allow our communities to keep growing and allot the youth the opportunity to become the experts in shaping the future of their communities. We are hopeful that through getting all the main actors in the area involved, we will be able to not only curb the negative development and consumption habits but also create an environment where everyone is conscious of how to protect the place we call home. We have a recycling route and community program in place and currently are seeking funds for a new truck for the route (we have been using our own cars and the road conditions have taken a toll). We are working with our local Government, but we still need help to finalize our plans for a recycling plant and to amp up the recycling program for Marbella Verde.
