March for Science - Raleigh, NC
Donation protected
As organizers of the satellite March for Science in Raleigh, North Carolina, we follow the Mission, Principles and Goals, and Diversity Principles put forth by the organizers of the National March for Science in Washington, DC.
Like the National March organizers, we are committed to envisioning a long term plan of action that will extend past April 22nd, the day of the march. To build a movement for science that will catalyze actions for lasting impact, we believe the mission and principles must be locally-rooted and embraced by the people of North Carolina. Therefore, we have begun the process of making connections between the national principles and our home state by reaching out to organizations already working on issues that fall under the Mission, Principles, and Goals summarized below. For a full text version of each of these, please visit https://www.marchforscience.com/mission/.
Every donation supports the march: permits, police, portable restrooms, loss of revenue for local businesses, insurance, barricades, sound system for speakers, and much more to ensure the march is a safe and productive effort! See below for the current breakdown.
