Illuminate Margy's Cancer Journey

It's better to light a candle than to curse the darkness...

Let's illuminate Margy's cancer journey by showing her love and practical support! As many of us unfortunately know, when cancer touches our lives the emotional and physical aspects are overwhelming in and of themselves. Tacking on the financial burdens of the diagnosis adds salt to the wound; insult to injury... Please help take some of that sting out for our dear Margy! Because of her recent diagnosis of cutaneous lymphoma, she is courageously (and at times even humorously) facing 12 months of treatment 3 times a week! The financial reality of that is daunting. With her insurance co-pay (read: out of pocket expense) of $80 per treatment that's... $240 per week with 52 weeks in the year that is an extraordinary cost of $12,480 along her road to health!!! NOT FAIR. Someone who works as hard as Margy and who gives so selflessly out of love and kindness deserves better! Margy is constantly giving of herself especially to our furry friends through her passionate dedication as a SFSPCA volunteer. Now it's time for us- her family, friends, co-workers, friends of a friend, to rally behind and beside her and help ease just a bit of the financial burden this chapter is causing so that she can focus on what's important- her HEALTH not her wallet.
