Maria Dolores De La Rosa, is a long time church volunteer for San Antonio Church as a youth director, confirmation director, church choir, ACTS program, volunteer at the kitchen, went on retreats. Maria had to retire in 2013 due to illness, which later was determined to be breast cancer. Now in remission, chemo treatments took a toll to her heart, having heart surgery for a taver treatment, catheter was placed, and a pacemaker. She is now having difficulty again which requires to have another heart surgery for a leaky valve, Maria will need to travel to Austin for surgery. Maria is on a fixed income and needs help to pay travel, room and boarding, food, copays, and other medical necessities. Before Maria was forced to retire she worked at Riverside High school, Bel Air High School and Del Valle High school as a clerk for the attendance office. Surgery is coming up really fast, her family did not have time to save money or fundraise for her. Anything will help her, thank you, God bless.
