Marine Needs Our Help
Donation protected
I am writing this on behalf of one of my best friends - Brian Callahan. He is a Marine, Husband, and loving Father of two incredible children. He served two tours in Iraq and one in Afghanistan during the most violent years of the war - on the front lines. Considering the absolute hell he's been through - Brian remains positive, stays joking and is someone we should all look up to every day.
Although he's been out of the Marines for 5 years, his battles still continue. In the time since he's been honorably discharged - his father in-law passed away, he had a stillborn at 8.5 months, his mom & step dad were both diagnosed with cancer, his PTSD has sky-rocketed, and most recently the VA failed to report a tumor on his brain which causes him to have debilitating seizures (Must Read Boston Herald article here ).
"It will get better soon" that's been the running "joke" between Brian and Alisha since his first tour, but for some reason, the rain cloud continues to follow them around. To make things worse - Brian hasn't been able to work, drive a car or even watch the kids on his own for the last year due to the seizures caused by the brain mass. Sometimes they occur multiple times a day and wipe him out for a full 24-48 hrs. You can imagine the the stress this causes the family (most notably his Wife Alisha). And since he hasn't been able to work, the bills have been piling up, putting them in a tough spot financially. So any little bit you can contribute will go a long way. Please help this soldier/friend/father out.
