Marion County Poor Farm, KS

This is created in an effort to try to raise funds to restore and repair the former Marion County poor farm in Marion, Kansas. It is currently a residence and the owner could really use some help with funding for repairs. Most importantly, the roof leaks and needs to be repaired, by this winter, if possible. The windows (and there are a lot of them) need repaired. The plumbing and electrical systems could use some maintenance, as well. This building was built in 1889 and is important to Kansas history. If something is not done soon to fix it, it will fall into disrepair to where it is beyond saving. 

The paperwork has been filed to get the property listed on the Kansas State Registry of Historical Places.
