Hello, and welcome to the page for Mark Crowder's first ORIGINAL CD project! :)
I'm super excited to get this kicked off!
This campaign is to fund my first all original gospel music project in full and eventually help with the marketing to get the music to the masses. We need $20k to complete the CD and have a marketable project. My goal is to have this done by the 30th of November 2016; but sooner if possible. NO GIFT IS TOO SMALL! :)
First, before I say anything else, I'd just like to say thank you for taking the time to check this page out. It means a lot!
So, as most of you know, my name is Mark Crowder, and I love to sing! I believe the Lord placed me here on this Earth to lead people into the deepest place of worship and to 'preach' His gospel through song. I have been told that the Lord has placed the gift of David upon me to write songs; and I see that evident in the constant inspiration that the Lord gives me. I believe these songs can minister to anyone and everyone from all walks of life. The energy, the reverence, the power, the anointing and passion that is felt in each and every song all comes from Him and I look forward to sharing that with everyone that loves gospel music and the Apostolic message, the world over!
The first step: Prayer! Much prayer and supplication before the throne of God has gone into this project. I have prayed. My family has prayed. My wife has prayed Friends, mentors and leadership have prayed. We believe that now the only thing left is for God to PERFORM the work! We hope that you feel the desire to be a part of that performance!
The second step: Write the music! That's been happening since I was 15 years old! I wrote my first song and performed in 'Youth World' as it was called at the church I attended at the time in Indianapolis, IN called Calvary Tabernacle. I now have written many songs, which are performed regularly at my home church, Calvary Apostolic Church in Columbus, OH, pastored by Bishop Stark. I've written probably close to 100; but only 22 of which I believe are currently recordable. Only 10-15 of my best songs will go on this first CD that will be the first of many music projects to come.
The third step: Set the vision! As stated this CD will be the kick off to many projects that will minister to people all over the world from all backgrounds that are hungering to know Jesus and His power in their lives. They are sick of the 'cookie cutter' Christian music scene; and are looking for a sound that will infuse their worship services with God's power and anointing. The passion and anointing that will be heard on these songs will do just that. Already there are testimonies of healing and miracles that have come from some of these songs and I believe that list of God's wonders will continue to grow. Thank you in advance for your assistance in helping that next special person come in contact with an experience with Christ that breaks the bondages of their past and releases them into their Christ sponsored future!
The fourth step: Make the CD!! Haha! All jokes aside, this is the most important step! We want the music out there! It needs to be recorded; and recorded properly. Joe Salamida of Vanquish Records has agreed to help us. Your donations will help us get the very BEST in background quality, musician quality, production quality and mixing quality available to artists today. He's worked with artists like Israel Houghton, Hezekiah Walker, Cortt Chavis and many more. We don't want to just have the music out in the world. We want to make sure it's completed at a level of quality that can clearly communicate the message of Jesus Christ so people everywhere can understand and appreciate it. High quality mixing for simply a ten song CD can be $5,000 by itself. Marketing can cost tons of money. Easily into the millions. We won't be doing all of that. We're getting a deal on the recording costs, mixing, as well as help with getting our name out there on platforms that reach everyone. To offer you an idea, a project like this with the support and marketing help we're getting would have cost $150k ten years ago. Marketing has changed and quality has changed. So $20k is an absolute STEAL. If you have any questions about this, feel free to ask! I love answer questions about things like this!
The next step: YOU. You help us fund this project. You help us get the word out. You help us build the network and base of Jesus lovers all over the world that are looking for and needing a fresh sound for His church. We thank you in advance; but it doesn't stop here! This project is just as much about you, as it is me! Without your help, we can't go any further beyond dreams and singing these songs in local churches. YOU are the key to taking the sound to a global audience and putting Apostolic music on the map from a global perspective. We want these songs on every Christian and gospel radio station in the country. We have the network to do it; but it starts with you. We want these songs sung in every church in the country; but that also starts with you. We see people from every continent singing these songs in their cars, worship services, backyards and houses; and with the blessing of our pastor and your support, that vision is incredibly possible!
