Hi there! My name is Kyle. I am 26 years old and am the proud owner of Marley, my Golden Retriever, who is also my best friend. I first received Marley as a graduation gift from high school. It was the greatest gift I have ever received. Marley and I connected instantly and for the past 9 years, she has been there for me through the good and bad times.

She knows how to make me feel better and I am very devoted to her.  She's had an interesting life health wise. It all first started with her ear infection and after months of saving up every last penny I had I was  able to afford the medication in order to treat it. Thankfully it was not an aggressive infection and the time I needed to save up money for the medication, did not harm her.

Fast forward to last October. On a regular vet trip, they noticed and pointed out a small lump (the size of a loonie) on her stomach. The doctor had advised us that it was something to keep an eye on but nothing terrible at that time......Over the next couple months, it gradually got bigger and got to about the size of a softball. Although this lump did not bother Marley, it was definitely a concern. About 4 days ago, the lump was punctured and required an immediate vet visit. The vet assessed Marley and after blood work (which turned out to be 300 dollars and could barely afford) it was discovered that it was a Mammary Gland Tumor. This requires immediate operation that costs around $1700 plus recovery and medication.....This is simply too much as I try to support myself and my father (who is also not in the best of health) at the same time. This is something new for me as myself or my family NEVER ever ask for help financially for anything. It has just simply been more of a struggle lately, and it pains me to see myself not being able to afford to help my dog. 

Marley is a wonderful dog and means the absolute world to me. The funds raised here will all go towards the surgery. To even make it simple because I personally know how the world is nowadays, all donations will be made directly to the vet instead of going straight to me.
