Marley’s Broken Elbow Surgery
Donation protected
Hello all-
First and foremost, let me say I cannot believe I have resorted to this, but if you pet parents have a minute to read this, I'd be so thankful.
2 months ago, I was surprised with a beautiful french bulldog puppy that I named Marley. I never thought I could love an animal so much! She’s been growing perfectly, finally received all of her puppy shots, and is bringing so much joy to my life.
Yesterday, Marley suffered a freak accident outside & broke her elbow. We rushed her to the vet & received the news that she needs surgery here in Grand Rapids on Tuesday to the tune of almost $4000– not including any follow ups.
While we were prepared for about $2000, we definitely didn’t expect to hear that it would cost double that. Even the vet visit yesterday was almost $300 for the exam, xrays, & pain meds. We recognize we’ve got a journey on our hands, but we know the sooner we address this, the better our puppy will heal.
I’m not here thinking that the goal will be reached, but if anyone here who understands the love for a pet can spare anything at all, we would be eternally grateful. I recognize getting a pet comes with many responsibilities & I take pride in how well we take care of her, so going forward I will do whatever I can to be far more financially prepared for anything that happens to my baby.
(Wasn’t approved for Care Credit, hadn’t yet decided on pet insurance provider, but orthopedic waiting period wouldn’t have passed yet regardless — so frustrating.)
Currently Marley is in a significant amount of pain, but the meds are helping. She's in great spirits considering & we’re simply trying to keep her comfortable during this long weekend.
This journey will absoloutely be documented online as we would love for you all to see how impactful your donations would be.

Thank you so much for just taking the time to read this & if you feel compelled to donate— no amount is too small for Marley.
With the utmost gratitude,
Courtney - Marley’s Mommy
