Marshfield Bandits
Donation protected
The Marshfield Bandits are made up of local athletes. The players are not paid. They play at the semi-pro level to get looks from the pros (NFL/CFL/AFL), or get more film for college scouts. Some simply play for the love of the game.
What sets this team apart is we are not just playing for a championship ring, there is a greater cause. In 2020 the Marshfield Bandits will begin play, not just be battling for each other, but for a more noble cause, the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. 100% of the profits will be donated to CMNH.
To operate a semi-pro football team runs about $20,000-$25,000 per year. Income is generated from sponsorship, donations and player’s fees.
The players are responsible to provide their own helmet and pads. The players fee typically goes to pay for the uniform.
The expenses are, field rental, referee wages (insert punchline here), liability insurance, and buses for road games, equipment and marketing.
All proceeds will be donated to the Children’s Miracle Network at the Marshfield Children’s Hospital. The events will be open to the public with free admission. The games will be marketed with the Marshfield Chamber of Commerce and promoted on ESPN radio 92.3 WOSQ. With those 3 factors we expect to boost attendance. Profits from concessions, merchandise, etc. will be collected for CMNH.
