The Martha Lou Herman Scholarship
Donation protected
We're establishing the Martha Lou Herman Scholarship Program in honor of the 40+ years she spent educating the young people of Bath County, Virginia – the community in which she was raised and lived her life. This scholarship will be awarded to a member of the senior class at Bath County High School to help with the expenses of higher education.
Over the years, Miss Herman taught government, english, sociology and history in the classrooms, though she taught many life lessons not found in textbooks. She genuinely cared for all students she had the privilege of teaching.
She gave her time to lead senior class trips, sponsored the Hi-Y club, cheerleading, as well as selling tickets at school sporting events. Her love of Bath County High School was never more evident than when she was cheering on The Chargers!
We would be incredibly grateful if you would consider contributing to this scholarship fund to honor her legacy of bringing quality education to the young people of Bath County, Virginia.
