Support Salt River Symphony Chorus
The Salt River Symphony Chorus has an incredible opportunity to bring back the incomparable Marvin Goldstein , a pianist who blew away the
community when came years ago. The concert will be April 15, 2018 at Star Valley High School.
Along with Mr. Goldstein, the dynamic Vanessa Joy will be joining him. Together, they are creating a night of unforgettable music of a Celtic Celebration accompanied by the local talent that is the Salt River Symphony Chorus.
This concert will be completely free for the community of Star Valley, Wyoming to attend.
What is the money for?
The funds raised will be matched by a private donor to accomplish this concert goal. Money goes towards travel expenses for the artists, meals, music for the symphony and chorus, and marketing.
About Salt River Symphony Chorus:
Formed in the early spring of 2014, the Salt River Symphony Chorus, SRSC as it is fondly known as, is a cohesive community choir and symphony that strives to bring opportunities for amateur and professional musicians to perform in the Star Valley, Wyoming area. Directed by James Arbizu, they perform in the Spring and Winter.
SRSC is a part of the Star Valley Arts Council , whose mission is to present quality cultural and fine arts performances; to provide and support educational opportunities; to develop local talent and artistic appreciation for both visual and performing arts; and to advocate for the arts in Star Valley.
About Marvin Goldstein:
Over fifty years, Marvin Goldstein has been an acclaimed pianist and well-sought out performer. At eighteen, he was awarded a music scholarship to Tel Aviv University School of Music in Israel. He completed his Bachelor and Master of Music degrees at Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida. Goldstein has recorded nearly 50 albums. He also has arranged 15 piano solo arrangement books including many sacred hymns which are available to purchase here.
Once you have heard Marvin Goldstein you will be captivated. You will want to come back for more. Goldstein is listed in Who’s Who in Music in European Cambridge, England. He has extensively traveled and performed in venues, such as in Jerusalem, Egypt, Copenhagen, London, Canada, and Australia.
About Vanessa Joy:
Vanessa was only 13 when she starred in her first Gilbert and Sullivan Operetta. Vanessa went on to receive a scholarship and graduated with a degree in Music from Brigham Young University. She is a guest faculty presenter at BYU Campus Education Week.
Vanessa has shared the stage with many well-known accomplished musicians such as: Grammy Award winner Billy Dean, NBA star Thurl Baily, and tenor George Dyer.
Having four albums to her credit, Vanessa is currently working on her newest album with internationally awarded pianist, Marvin Goldstein.
