Martin Luna's Battle with Cancer
Donation protected
Martin Luna, a City High junior and varsity football team manager (jersey #87), has battled with health issues his whole life. When he was only 3-4 months old, he was diagnosed with neurofibromatosis type 1. It was an ongoing issue throughout his childhood. When he was 14 years old and playing football (something he has always had a great love for), he would come home after practice complaining of pain in his right leg. He was later diagnosed with malignant peripheral nerve sheath tumor - a unique type cancer. He has had to endure 8 surgeries, 8 cycles of chemotherapy, and 7 weeks of radiation.
Despite the very serious challenges he faces, Martin still values his family, friends, faith, team, and school. Everyone that knows him at City High respects him for his tremendous courage and positive attitude. He is the manager for the varsity football team, and his dedication has proved to the entire team how much he cares. Martin is the definition of a team player.
Donations will be used to help defray current and upcoming medical expenses. The donations will go directly to Martin's mother Esmerelda Nunez. Thank you, in advance, for any contribution.
