The Maska boys need your help!
Jared, Jake and Justin have been selected to play and coach for the USA Ball Hockey team that is traveling to Nitra, Slovakia at the end of June to play in the World Ball Hockey Federation junior championships! For a family that gives everything they can to help others, they’re asking for help in return!
Jared has been selected to play on the u18 team this coming June! Jared is the youngest of the 3 Maska boys at 16 years old, but certainly doesn’t let his age define him as a player. Over the last 2 seasons, Jared has won numerous in-house championships in both Bellmawr and West Deptford, as well as a National Championship in 2016 and a Youth North American Championship in 2017. Jared is the only player on his u18 team from New Jersey!
Jake has been selected to play on the u20 team during the Summer! Jake is the middle child, and has enjoyed the most success as a player out of the 3 Maska boys. Over the last handful of years, Jake has managed to help his Bellmawr Bears team win multiple tournaments, as well as 2 National Championships in the past 3 seasons. Jake missed tryouts for the u18 team due to a hip injury that kept him on the sidelines, but has since recovered from the injury and can move better than before! Jake has a chip on his shoulder that he’s taking over to Slovakia with him to prove why he DESERVES to be wearing the red, white and blue on his jersey!
Justin has been selected as an assistant coach for the u20 team as well! Justin may be the oldest out of the 3 Maska boys, but he is the youngest staff member going overseas at just 23 years of age! Over the last 5 years of coaching high-level ball hockey, Justin has managed to win numerous in-house championships at many different levels in both Bellmawr and West Deptford. His teams have played in plenty of national championship finals, and in 2017 his Bellmawr Cadet team managed to win the Youth North Americans! Justin gives countless hours of his own time to many leagues around the New Jersey area. While he doesn’t have any kids of his own involved, many of the kids he’s coached over the years have turned into people he would consider family. Justin helps run the Gloucester Township men’s league, along with the West Deptford Street Hockey League. He’s helped organize charity tournaments for families in need over the last 5 years, as well as volunteered his time reffing for multiple leagues in NJ. His player-friendly coaching style, along with his outgoing personality at the rinks makes him an extremely likeable person that people enjoy being around!
The Maska family always gives what they can, no matter how little or small, without asking for anything in return! It’s not too often where an entire family has the chance to go overseas to do what they love, but the Maska’s are going to capture the moment! Now, we’re asking for all of our family and friends to reach out to help send the Maska boys to Slovakia to represent the USA! Any amount given at this time is greatly appreciated!
