Rylee's Surgery Trip and Med. Bills

Rylee is a spunky 13 year old, who is passionate about ballet.  She was diagnosed with scoliosis in April of this year.  She had a backwards s-curve (34 degrees thoracic and 38 degrees lumbar). Despite wearing a brace 23 hours a day, by August, her curve had progressed significantly (41 degrees thoracic and 49 degrees lumbar).  She is scheduled for Vertebral Body Tethering (VBT) on October 19th.  This technique is about 6 years old, and not yet offered in Texas, so she will have the surgery at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City.  She will be operated on by the best VBT surgeons in the world.  This surgery will allow for faster healing time and better flexibility than the common scoliosis treatment of spinal fusion.  

This Go Fund Me page was set up to fund her surgical trip to NYC and the medical costs of the surgery.  We will be in NYC for 2 weeks, with at least 5 of those days in the hospital.

God has revealed Himself in so many ways through this journey.  We are excited to see how He will continue to work.
