Production: Educational Native Film

Setting Sun Productions is raising money to produce an educational film about the impacts of climate pollution on Native cultures and traditions.
Funds will go toward the production of a sixty-minute film featuring respected leaders sharing traditional stories in hopes of transforming mankind’s treatment of the planet and of each other.
Any funds raised beyond the $5,000 goal will be used to cover travel and lodging costs for featured speakers.
The Film: "Teachings"
"Teachings" will feature respected Native leaders sharing traditional stories in front of a live audience on the Lummi Reservation to transform mankind’s treatment of the planet and of each other.
Cast members include:
-Tim Ballew II, Lummi Indian Business Council Chair
-Honorable Steven Point
-Honorable Gwen Point
-Respected Elder Eugene Harry
-Respected Elder Jewell James
-Respected Leader Deborah Parker
The film will be shot on November 14 – 15 and then gifted to Ononaga Chief Oren Lyons before he attends the UN Summit on Climate Change in Paris, France on November 30, 2015.
About the Director: Darrell Hillaire
Darrell is a tribal member of the Lummi Nation. He started Setting Suns Productions to make Native American themed performance arts, and the culture and the history of Native American people accessible.
His original plays "What About Those Broken Promises" and "Sonny Sixkiller Buys the Redskins" sold out mulitiple performances in the Pacific Northwest.
