Medal Of Honor Memorial Road Signs
Donation protected
A group of concerned Veterans got a resolution passed during this years AL legislature naming sections of U.S.31 in Escambia Co., AL as a Memorial Highway after Cpl. Sidney E. Manning (WW1), and William W.( BillyWayne) Seay (Vietnam War). Both men are Medal Of Honor recipients, and are buried in Escambia county.
In order for the signs to be erected, we have to pay for the cost of manufacturing and erecting of the signs (4). The cost is approximately $8000. The signs will be erected, and maintained by ALDOT.
All excess funds will be donated to a local veterans group.
