Memorial Fund for Eric Driskell

Donation protected

On Sunday evening, February 12th, communities from far and near bonded together to love, support and pray for our friend, our family member and our Coach, Eric Driskell.

We know why we are here, we are here because of the community that IS Stanley / Stilwell, Blue Valley High School and the BV School District, the football community and so many others, but mostly about the impact that Coach Driskell has had on the masses.

"Coach Driskell is about love, Coach Driskell is about support, Coach Driskell is about community" is what family spokesman and neurosurgeon, Dr. Jayson Neil said on Tuesday afternoon, February 14th.   This is undoubtedly true, anyone that has ever met him knows this is etched in his character.

Although there are mountains of heart healing for Coach Driskell's community, we cannot ignore the impact that we must make on this family, with insurmountable medical bills,  college funds for his daughters, everyday living expenses, and the worry of a future regarding their "rock"...

On February 15th, at 4:53pm, Coach, Father, Husband, Friend, Son, Encourager Eric Driskell left the world as we know it.   This fund will support his family in ongoing efforts.   Please pray for everyone who was blessed to know and be touched by Eric.

As a community, our hope and prayer is that we can make a small part of allowing healing, by raising funds to support his wife Kari and his daughters Rachel and Laurel.   They shouldn't have to worry about this part, they have enough on their hearts and minds.

As far as me, I've been blessed to have met the Driskell family and Eric when I was growing up in Stanley, Kansas.   My family and theirs all attended the same church, Stanley Community Church at 148th and Metcalf.   I'm a proud Blue Valley High School alum, and have a love and affinity towards the community that gave me so much.   I'm starting this campaign on behalf of many BV alums that knows Eric and his family who have asked for a fund to be set up.

Every single dollar will be given to the Driskell family, to Kari and his daughters, as a gift from this amazing community that Coach Driskell serves, and serves selfishly.

Our hearts hurt, but together we will persevere through this that has affected so many of us.

May we keep praying and blessing this amazing family.

We are proud to be linked in our fundraising efforts to the Blue Valley Touchdown Club, a group of parent supporters and sponsors of BV football. Each and every dollar raised by both of our groups will directly impact the Driskell family, from immediate to future needs. It's amazing to see the community partner together to bless this family.
