Call To Action: I, D. Paul Stanford, am fighting an enormous legal battle to defend a dishonored contract, as well as a swift and hostile takeover by foreign investors in a direct attempt to seize the medical patient database of my clinics, THCF. The fight against "Empower Health Care" has generated enormous legal costs and I need your support!
In 1998, the clinics I created, THCF, joined with Dr. Philip Leveque and helped to pioneer the Oregon medical cannabis program, and have helped over 250,000 medical cannabis patients throughout the country. Prior to the fraudulent theft of my clinics, THCF had contributed time and money across the United States in support of the legalization of medical and recreational cannabis, specifically funding Oregon's Measure 80 in 2012. THCF was also the presenting sponsor of festivals such as Seattle Hempfest in Seattle, Washington; the Midwest Harvest Festival in Madison, Wisconsin; and the Hempstalk Harvest Festival in Portland, Oregon. After the case, if we can prevail, we will continue our sponsorship in these vital events.
Thousands of patients and their families have witnessed how THCF has helped families across the community, giving time, compassion, and even medicine. The heart and drive to serve the people, over the drive for greed and making money, is what makes THCF so vital to the medical cannabis community.
I am seeking $50,000 to pay a legal team to defend the dishonored contract. All raised proceeds will go directly to the legal fund. It is my hope that this community can come together to help defend the clinics who have helped so many.
