In the late night hours on Sunday, October 8th a massive outbreak of wildfires spread across Sonoma and Napa Valley. Two separate fires, one to the southeast and one to the west spread quickly with whipping winds and warm, dry weather. These fires have devastated our familes, completely engulfing our homes in flames leaving nothing but piles of ash and dust. Dodds and Meghan, Skyler, Katie and Parker (5), Penny (2) and Piper (1) are heartbroken for the loss of our two homes.
In Sonoma Valley, our sweet little town of Kenwood is devastated. Dodds and Meghan lived in a charming little house, on a property we have loved and shared with friends and family for many years. Our home, and all our belongings have vanished. And our hearts are broken for our sweet cat Lola, who was trapped inside during the fire. I'm gripping tightly to the memories of cooking delicious food, so many evenings of laughter and love, sharing our beloved wines with our friends, and soaking in the beauty of the propery we called paradise.
In Santa Rosa, the neighborhood where Skyler, Katie and their three children lived has been completely consumed by fire. They had very little time to pack thier family into a caravan and drive away; leaving behind their first family home and kitty. Each room filled with toys, memories and the laughter of three beautiful kids. We are blessed that they had enough time to evacute and flee to safety.
Everyone is safe and staying with family but there is a long road ahead. Friends and family near and far have asked how to help. I don't really know where to begin. "It takes a village" has a deep and profound meaning to all of us right now. And, in the words that repeat over and over in my heart, love is all there is.
Thank you for any support you can offer to us. We are forever touched and grateful.

Immediate funds will be used for temporary lodging and necessities like clothing, jackets, socks, shoes, underwear, diapers, infant and childen's supplies, and healthy food, coffee, vitamins, soap, body care, medicine, toothbrushes, bedding and pillows.
We are a close family, and will be cohabitating together. We are grieving, healing and supporting each other, as one family. Your donations will be shared amongst Dodds and Meghan, and given directly with his son, Skyler and his family.
I will post updates as often as we can, to share our story.
