Friend, We Will Raise ... YOU UP!

Dear Friends, I'd like for you to meet my friend.

I was there when he walked/crawled into the ER. He had acquired a simple skin infection he thought he could treat himself. The doctors took one leg off one day, the next one, the next day.

This gentleman had a week or two where he was in a fog; he wanted to die.
But then he turned back to his God
- and to his guitar - to praise and thank Him. And The Life put more life back in him than he ever had before.

These days he and his music are a joy to his community - he serves willingly and volunteers openly, always with a smile and his precious, gentle wife by his side.

He's been looking to get some prosthetics, but it won't be easy because of the cost associated, including follow-up care. He's been mostly relying on his family, friends and church community to help him through this ordeal, and has come up with great ideas for fundraising on his own. He's working on simple woodcrafts, wants to make jewelry and other goods ... his wife makes the most delicious banana leaf tamales to sell ...  Unbelievably, this man was DRIVING himself to church for music practice (he is a mentor, an instructor), in a truck he had modified himself, within months of this "tragedy".                     

These folks are NOT quitters.
Best of all, they put a lot of smiles on those that have the mere good luck to be in their presence!

Many have been touched by this story, and have encouraged me to start this GoFundMe campaign for him.  We hope you will be touched as well, and will donate anything you can towards the cost of his
"new legs" and medical care.

Prosthetics are very expensive, and it won't be easy ...
But know this: When he gets his legs, this Angel will fly.
