Melissa Dolishny needs your help
Donation protected
The Dolishny family is now moving into a difficult part of the journey. Melissa was mis-diagnosed and does in fact have a form of brain cancer called Germinoma. It was based near her pituitary gland. Most of the tumor was removed but she will begin chemotherapy as soon as she’s well enough to remove what’s left.
Melissa is in the best hands possible, and we’re optimistic for a quick recovery.
Melissa is overwhelmed with the support that everyone has extended to her, and the family. Not only the financial donations, but with prayers, and the well wishes via cards, texts and emails. These messages are helping Melissa, and the family tremendously!
The money that has been raised, will help support the family during this very difficult time. Rest assure it is much appreciated, and is being put to very good use.
Please continue to keep Melissa and her family in your prayers.
The Dolishny family sends you their sincerest thanks!
Melissa's Story:
In January 2017, after suffering blury vision and nausea, Melissa was diagnosed with a tumor in her brain that affects just about every facet of her life: vision, balance, digestion, sleep and more. She’s now blind in one eye with reduced vision in the other.
After being diagnosed at Toronto Sick Kids, she was moved to Toronto Western Hospital. A 10-hour procedure is being planned, followed by months of therapy and rehabilitation.
Living an hour and a half away from the hospital, the family is in urgent need of assistance as they will have transportation costs, parking, food, and basic expenses of living away from home, and trying to uphold the expense of their family home in Peterborough.
Above all else, we desperately need your prayers of healing and hope. Melissa is too young to be going through this, nor should her parents and siblings need the added stress of the financial burden this is now causing.
Any financial assistance would be greatfully appreciated. No amount is too small.
