Melody Edwards Blakely Scholarship

On April 23rd , 2017 Melody Anne Simone Edwards Blakely was killed in a horrific fire in Queens Village, New York. Melody attended Queens High school of Teaching in which she was an honor student . She was set to attend her prom on June 7th followed by her graduation which would follow in coming weeks. From a young age Melody wanted to be a corporate  lawyer.During her search for the best college to pursue her dream, she settled on SUNY Purchase  located in Weschester, county where she was set to attend this fall 2017. Melody was such a charismatic , smart, intelligent, sweet and caring teenager. Anyone whom she encountered was impacted in some way or form.She will be greatly missed by family and friends. In honor of Melody the Blakely/Edwards Family would like to create a scholarship fund named " The Melody Edwards Blakely Scholarship " to donate to students set to attend college this fall 2017.
