Memorial Day Soldier Reunion

On Memorial Day 2007, our troop 6-9cav 1st Cav Div, was dispatched for an emergency rescue recovery mission for a downed helicopter and crew. We were ambushed en route and lost 6 fellow soldiers/friends/brothers. Memorial Day takes on a very personal meaning to all of us involved.    The Highlands post 143 of the American Legion offered the honor of grand marshall of the HIGHLANDS Memorial Day parade this year. MAY 26 2018.  I have accepted. My hope is raise money so that my fellow soldiers or their significant others who marched with me in Iraq can march next to me and share this honor of grand marshall.   We are looking to raise around 10k dollars for airfare and rooms for memorial day weekend.  We also need help in spreading the word about attending the parade.  Any help whatsoever is truely appreciated. (All donations will be used for airfaire for those flying in, gas expenses for those driving in, transportation for the weekend, lodging, meals, the additional parade expenses to assist American Legion Post 143. I will souly handle all donations through gofundme. Any donations that exceed our goal will be set aside and used as a donation to a charity assisting veterans to be determined.)
