Mentoring opportunities for kids
Donation protected
Bruce Grey Mentorship is a new program that is working to provide mentoring opportunities for children and youth in Hanover, Walkerton and Durham Ontario communities.
We will provide individual and group programs that support and guide children in need, helping them develop their social skills, confidence and self esteem.
We are seeking to fill the gap that was left when a well-known mentoring program closed it's local chapter after 40 years of service to our community. This left many children without access to the benefits that positive mentoring offers in their emotional and social development.
We are raising funds to maintain the development of the program while we continue to reach out to the community to enlist local support with the goal of becoming sustainable.
The money will be used for program development, training of mentors and mentees and establishing programs. We are seeking these funds before Decemeber when we hope to be financially able to launch our first program.
Members of our Board have seen first hand the effects mentoring has on a child's life. We beleive in this cause because we see how much hope can be instilled in a child, how much confidence is built and the opportunties mentored children have in life. We also know that mentoring deters youth from being involved in high-risk behaviour and helps them become better global citizens.
We are very thankful to any and all who sponsor our cause. Your donation will make a difference in our community and in a child's life.
