Emergency Medical Bills

Hello, my name is Mercedes LaLand and  I am a gardener at Sunshine Community Garden. Thursday evening June 22nd, while weeding, I was attacked by many ants.  Roughly five minutes after contact with the ants, I experienced a full body allergic reaction. In addition to the hives, I felt a burning sensation throughout my body. This was not a condition easily treatable at home. I was rushed to the hospital where I was given IV-Benadryl, EpiPen, and multiple steriod shots. Unforntunaely, I am one of the many Americans that cannot afford health insurance.  When I asked for an estimate of the bill, the doctor said it would be around $2000 or more. This estimate does not include the many prescriptions I was sent home with, including a life saving EpiPen.  If you find that you are in a financial position to donate, I would greatly appreciate it. No amount is too small. All donations will go directly to my emergency room bill and if I am to exceed the goal, I will use the extra amount towards my EpiPen.
