Michael McCarthy's Tuition Fund

This is my son, Michael McCarthy. He is an incoming Senior, music major/theatre minor at Ithaca College. This past year, Michael studied diligently and attained a 3.5 GPA. He is highly active in the music fraternity Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia, and has been elected Fraternity Chapter President for the upcoming school year.
Several years ago, Michael's dad and I were divorced in a very contentious process that depleted the family assets. I have been supporting Michael and his brother alone throughout their college years, using what small earnings I've been able to make, but mostly savings and retirement funds. Not having been able to secure full-time employment, I started a business two years ago. I have not seen a profit from this business as yet and, although Michael, his brother, and I are all working part-time jobs, we do not have the money for the tuition, fees, expenses, insurance, and other costs associated with college for the upcoming year. We have applied for student loans and financial aid to the maximum, but this will cover very little.
The funds we are raising will be used for all college expenses, associated costs, and graduation fees for Michael for the Fall 2016 and Spring 2017 Semesters. The Fall Semester payment is due on August 12, 2016 and the Spring Semester payment is due December 15, 2016.
Michael studies music and theater at Ithaca College and has maintained a high GPA throughout. He is dedicated to excellence in honing his craft and looking forward to a fulfilling career in the field of music and/or theatre. He has found great comfort and camraderie in Phi Mu Alpha, and is a past secretary, has been active in charity work, and has recently become a Big Brother to a Freshman, who he is committed to mentor through his journey at Ithaca and brotherhood in PMA. In his Senior year, he is looking forward to his duties as President of his Chapter and has already begun to work hard in this position.
Michael and I will be tremendously grateful for your help. This crucial Senior year will help to shape the course of the rest of his life and will make a tremendous difference in the quality of emploment he will be able to secure next Spring.
